Killer of a Deal. FREE book!

MURDER IN PALM BEACH, by me, is about to go FREE! That is, the book will be offered free for one full day beginning at midnight tonight. And you thought somebody was getting away with murder. Well … maybe. You can

find out by reading this novel based on a real murder. It’s a FREE give-away. Is that redundant, or what? Just wanted to make sure you understood that on Monday, Sept. 28, you can download the book onto your Kindle without paying a penny. Yeah, ya hafta have a Kindle or a Kindle app (whatever that is). Sorry about that.

So what are you getting for this fantastic price (I love paradoxes. It’s FREE!). You’re (not your – puhleez!) getting a story about a hugely sensational murder that happened in the posh ocean-side town in January 1976. A man with six kids, having an affair with a stripper, is shot dead from outside his home. A politically minded prosecutor gets a jury to convict a guy who the police didn’t believe was guilty. While he’s in prison, his wife comes down with a usually fatal disease. Here’s the kicker: I found out that a former newspaper colleague of mine had learned something about the murderer nobody suspected. Bigger than that, he discovered somebody else also was involved: a man so important his name, if you heard it, would shock your socks off.

In the guise of fiction, the book delves into these developments, which never have been made public.

So if you don’t have a Kindle or a Kindle app, you might want to buy the paperback – and see if you can figure out this mystery. You can get a signed copy from me by buying it on my website, or go to Amazon.com.

When I was in the third grade, I had a role in a church play. I had one line: “Extra, extra, read all about it!!!” I don’t remember what “it” was, but I shouted so loud that everybody rocked back in their pews, and I swear (but not in church) that the rafters shook.

Here’s a re-enactment: READ ALL ABOUT IT!!!
